Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Re:Text app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Re:Text Development (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not require registration and does not obtain personally identifiable information about you when you download and use it, with one exception described below: if you choose to request a test SMS, you provide your mobile phone number for that single purpose.

Test SMS messages

To help you confirm that your forwarding setup works, the Application offers an optional "Send me a test text" feature. When you use it, you enter your own mobile phone number and the Service Provider sends one SMS message to that number. The message contains the keyword you configured in your forwarding rule and a short confirmation line, for example: "This is a Re:Text test SMS. Your keyword is verify. If you can see this message in your Gmail, your forwarding is working."

• Consent. A test SMS is sent only when you explicitly request it by tapping the button and entering your number inside the Application. We never send SMS messages that you have not requested.
• Purpose and frequency. Test messages are transactional. They are sent one at a time, only on your request, and are never recurring. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages by SMS.
• Use of your phone number. Your phone number is used solely to deliver the test message you requested. It is transmitted to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio Inc.) for that purpose and is not stored by the Service Provider after the message has been sent. The Service Provider does not use your phone number to contact you for any other reason.
• No sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery provider to the extent necessary to deliver the message you requested.
• Opting out. Because test messages are sent only on request, no ongoing opt-out is needed: simply do not request another test. You may also reply STOP to any test message to block further messages from our number, or reply HELP for assistance. You can contact us at any time at support@re-text-forward.com.
• Carrier charges. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application forwards SMS content only to the destinations you explicitly configure (e.g., an email address, Telegram, WhatsApp number, Slack webhook, etc.). Once forwarded, that content is handled by the third-party service you chose (Google, Meta, Slack Technologies, Telegram, Microsoft, and so on) under their own terms of service and privacy policies.

If you request a test SMS, your phone number is passed to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio Inc.) solely to deliver that message, as described in the "Test SMS messages" section above.

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or analytics purposes.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all forwarding by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

To stop receiving test SMS messages, simply do not request another test, or reply STOP to any test message you have received.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (support@re-text-forward.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Application uses only iOS-approved, on-device methods to forward messages, and does not store SMS content on our servers.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-07.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
